English 100 emphasizes the development of fundamental English writing skills such as grammar, sentence structure, spelling, punctuation, and mechanics for the purpose of writing in academic settings. The course provides instruction in conducting research, documenting sources of information, academic integrity, and creating a basic outline to structure and organize ideas in a five paragraph essay. Students will submit all assignments to Moodle for evaluation.
Students learn skills and effective intervention techniques designed to positively and appropriately guide the behaviour of pre-school and school-age children, and to nurture a safe and healthy environment for children and staff.
