This course is the first step to becoming an accredited CPISRA classifier for doctors, physiotherapists, sports technicians and others with some knowledge of cerebral palsy, classification needs and sports for CP athletes.
This course is the final level of theory for individuals who are interested in becoming accredited CPISRA international classifiers. In the Level 1 course you were provided with the initial introduction and many of these topics are not covered in Level 2 or if they are it is at a more advanced level. Assessment and Testing, Athlete Evaluation and Protests are covered in more depth to provide the nationally experienced classifier the opportunity to learn more specifically in these areas. The theory course is followed by a practicum that provides hand on training and application of theory in a supervised setting and during actual classification. This is when the final theory exam is administered by the Classification Trainer and you receive the official title of Classifier in Training.
