All managers, self-employed business owners and individual investors require an adequate knowledge of business financing, financial analysis and capital budgeting. Informed decision-making requires a sound understanding and firm grasp of analytical techniques such as the proper use of financial ratios, evaluating interest costs through debt financing, financial statement analysis, cash budgeting, capital budgeting, and break-even analysis.

Business Law is an introduction to the legal system, including consideration of constitutional law. Torts are studied with a stress on the concept of negligence.
